The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Ekiti State chapter, Hon. Chief Ojo Oluwasegun Samuel, has felicitated Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid -el-Kabir festival.

In a goodwill message signed by him, the chairman urged faithful to abide by the teachings of the period which illustrates sacrifice.

He highlighted the significance of Eid-el -Kabir as a festival of joy for the Muslim faithful.

The Algon chairman congratulated Muslims in the state and Nigeria for witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir noting that sacrifice is usually the price to pay for victory, and fulfillment.

He charged them to always obey the command of Allah, as exemplified by Ibrahim and that they should imbibe the core lesson of Eid -el -Kabir which is total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah.

He also enjoined Muslim Ummah to celebrate in moderation, extend love to neighbors as well as the less privileged members of the society as the holy book teaches.
