A former councillor representing Ekameta Ward in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Mr. Ebenezer Ojo-Ogunleye, has applauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for transforming the socio-economic landscape of the area through the ongoing rehabilitation of the Ijero–Epe–Araromi–Iropora road.

Speaking with journalists in Ijero-Ekiti, Ojo-Ogunleye described the road project as a major relief to motorists and residents who had suffered for years due to its dilapidated condition.

“For years, our people in Epe, Araromi and Iropora endured untold hardship because of this bad road,” he said. “Today, Governor Oyebanji has changed that narrative. The ongoing rehabilitation has eased movement, boosted business activities, and restored hope to our communities.”

The former councillor, who represented Epe, Ara and Araromi-Ekiti between 2022 and 2024, praised the governor for what he called a leadership style rooted in sincerity, action and people-oriented governance.

Governor Oyebanji has proven to be a true friend of the grassroots. His projects are visible, his impact is real, and his commitment to the welfare of the people is beyond question,” Ojo-Ogunleye stated.

He urged residents of Ijero Local Government and Ekiti State at large to rally behind the governor as the next governorship election approaches, noting that continuity is essential to sustain ongoing development.

“The governor needs our collective support to consolidate on these gains. That’s why we must all come out en masse to vote for him in next year’s governorship election,” he said. “With unity and continued government intervention, our local economy will witness greater transformation.

Ojo-Ogunleye further assured that the people of Ekameta Ward would continue to mobilize support for the governor, describing the Oyebanji administration as “a government that delivers on its promises.”
