Ekiti PS Toba-Ojo Urges Prayers, Applauds Oyebanji for Restoring Staff Academic Training ProgramThe Permanent Secretary of the Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Titilayo Toba-Ojo, has urged staff to offer prayers for the continued peace and prosperity of the state.

Speaking during a special prayer session organized by the Commission at Ikole and oye local governments stressed that only prayers rooted in sincerity can attract divine answers.

“Your prayers will be answered — but for that to happen, it must come from the heart. A prayer not rooted in sincerity cannot be answered,” she said.

The Permanent Secretary praised Governor Oyebanji’s transformational leadership, describing his administration as a clear departure from the past.

“No government in Ekiti has brought this level of development like Governor Oyebanji’s administration. Though development has always occurred, this season is distinct,” she noted.

She highlighted the revival of the long-abandoned staff capacity-building program, which now allows personnel to pursue Diploma, Master’s, and PhD degrees in Local Government Studies at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

“This initiative had been abandoned long before my time, but the present administration saw its importance and brought it back to life,

The sermon by one of the preachers pastor Isaac Idowu centered on Deuteronomy 10:12, which calls on believers to fear the Lord, walk in His ways, love Him, and serve Him with all their heart and soul.

Pastor Idowu emphasized that God’s expectations are neither complicated nor unattainable; at the core, He desires obedience, reverence, and wholehearted devotion from His people.

In her remarks at Oye, the Chairman of the Local Government, Princess Bamisile Adesola Clara, charged staff to sustain their cooperation and loyalty to the Oyebanji administration.

She described the governor’s leadership as people-oriented and transformative, adding that the confidence reposed in him through renewed support is already translating into exceptional performance beyond expectations since the creation of Ekiti State.

The Head of the Local Government Administration in Oye Mr. Emmanuel Olufunso Osho, prayed that the oil of grace on the leadership and the team would never run dry and asked God to strengthen every hand committed to service in the local government system.

He acknowledged the commission for organizing the spiritually uplifting session and encouraged all attendees to continue supporting one another in prayer and unity.

Mr. Osho also committed the team’s journey back to God, praying for safe returns and renewed strength.

Speaking on behalf of the Ikole Local Government chairman, one of the HLAs from Ikole West LCDA Mr Taiwo Ajibola expressed deep appreciation to the Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Titilayo Toba-Ojo for her commitment to spiritual support for the current administration through organized prayer sessions.

He praised her for connecting herself with the struggles of the workforce and described her impact as one that has “written her name in gold.”

The HLA noted that the blessings from the prayer session extended beyond the LG to the entire state, adding that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has enjoyed divine backing through the prayers, as “we have never had it this good.”

Mr Taiwo further stated that only an ungrateful person would deny the progress and welfare delivered by the current government.

He concluded by urging all staff members to continue lifting the PS in their private prayers, in gratitude for her visionary leadership and dedication.

Early the NULGE Chairman, in Ikole Comrade Famoroti Olusola, speaking on behalf of all staff, appreciated the leadership for instituting regular prayers.

He noted that the prayers have brought peace and reduced past occurrences of untimely deaths within the workforce. “You’ve written a lasting legacy through this prayer initiative,” he said.

He expressed hope that the leadership would finish strong and described the session as a blessing to all.
