Ekiti Local GovernmenThe Chairman of the Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Samuel Abejide, has praised the exceptional unity and spirit of love among the staff during this year’s Christmas celebrations.
Represented by one of the Commissioners in the commission, Prince Suyi Aladesanmi at the event, Mr. Abejide expressed satisfaction with how staff members came together in joy and harmony, something he noted was unprecedented in past years.
“The love and peace shared by our officers gives me great hope,” he noted
He expressed that such unity and devotion strengthen the Commission’s purpose and foster a positive working environment.

The Chairman also sent Christmas and New Year greetings, praying that the festive season brings peace and blessings to all members.
He however urged all staff to celebrate moderately, reminding them that while December salaries had been paid, the next payment may not come until late January.
Abejide encouraged wise management of resources during this period.

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the commission, Mrs Titilayo Toba-Ojo reminded everyone to be joyful and continue to praise God, emphasizing the true reason for the season.
She encouraged everyone to look beyond current difficulties and fix their eyes on Jesus, who will solve problems and answer prayers.

One of the executive secretaries Mr Borisade Yinka expressed appreciation to the Commission’s leadership under the Chairmanship of Mr. Samuel Abejide.
Earlier the guest preacher, *Pastor Olorunsola Kehinde*, delivered the sermon drawn from *Isaiah 9:6*, emphasizing that the birth of Christ must not be celebrated in vain.
He urged everyone to make Christ their Everlasting Father, not just during festive seasons, but throughout their lives.

He warned against celebrating Christmas merely as a yearly tradition, without recognizing the spiritual significance. *“Let Him be your Father so that His coming will not be in vain in your life,”* he said.
