….House of Reps. hopeful, Dr. Dada says Award well deserved.
A prominent All Progressives Congress’s chieftain from Orin Ekiti in Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 , Dr. Ayodeji Ayodele Dada, has praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s receipt of the 2025 Leadership Newspaper Award, calling it “well-deserved.
Dada lauded Oyebanji’s people-centered leadership and transformative policies, which have driven development in Ekiti State.
He highlighted Oyebanji’s achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment, saying these efforts have improved the lives of Ekiti residents.
” Governor Oyebanji has been making waves with his people-centered leadership and transformative policies.
I believe that the 2025 Leadership Newspaper Award, was one of the ways to recognize his outstanding achievements in key sectors like education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and women development”, he remarked. 
” Increased monthly subvention to tertiary institutions from N767.8 million to N1.27 billion, clearing all salary arrears and funding facility upgrades, highlighted his achievement in reforming the Education Sector.
In Healthcare, I am aware that this present Administration established the Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme, providing free healthcare to 19,000 pensioners, and performed over 3,700 free surgeries, upgraded nearly all health centers in all the 16 local governments and lot more.

Completion of several road projects, including the Ekiti Ring Road, and the construction of the Okeyinmi Flyover Bridge and his administration is committed to empowering youths, training over 5,000 young people in entrepreneurship and financial literacy, and also provided vocational tools to persons with disabilities”, Dr Dada added.
The American based philanthropist also commended the efforts of the Oyebanji’s administration for its commitment to transparency, with Ekiti State ranking No. 1 in the BudgIT State Fiscal Transparency League for five consecutive quarters.
He also applauded other notable award recipients , including Nigerian First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma, and Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani among others.
Dada equally commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms, which have empowered sub-national governments to implement impactful programs.
The House of Representatives hopeful used the opportunity to throw his weight behind Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election bid, urging Ekiti residents to support him for a second term, adding that Oyebanji’s transformative leadership and people-centered policies have made a significant impact in the state.
He specifically called on the people of Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, comprising Ido/Osi, Moba, and Ilejemeje Local Government Areas, to rally behind Oyebanji, citing his achievements and commitment to the region’s development.
Governor Oyebanji has shown exceptional leadership, and we need him to continue driving our state’s progress,” Dada said. “Let’s give him another four years to consolidate on his achievements and take Ekiti to the next level.”
Dr. Dada said that Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 deserve better representation to compliment the various efforts of Mr. Governor towards making life more bearable for the people.
