The  investigative effort falls under Phase 8 of the ‘ICPC Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking Initiative(CEPTI)’ programme, which is currently underway in several states across the country including Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He expressed satisfaction that some of the projects were done to specifications while the contractors of those shabbily done had been recalled back to site.

“So far, our findings are just a mixture, to be frank, we have seen a project where the government has paid money and they are yet to start work, because of dispute on the ownership of the land, it happens to the construction of a viewing centre, there’s no where that building will be constructed, we have gone to a place where there is bore hole but not working, we have also seen another place where the bore hole is working and people are enjoying it, we have also visited a place where their road was graded and people are happy at it, because it will help the farmer, in all some were perfectly executed while some were not perfectly done” he remarked.

According to him, erring contractor after being called back to site and failed would be investigated and necessary action would follow suit.

“Yes, we have been able to call back two contractors to go back to site to rectify what they have done, before we leave this place, we still have to go back to go and see if they have done it or not, and if they have not, then investigation will commence” he said

A quantity surveyor on the team, Mr Olaniyi Adeboye said about 44 percent of the project were done to specification.

” In some of the site visited we discovered some contractor did not comply with the specific in the bills of quantities while some did it to specifications”. He remarked
