….Says Victory Rewards Performance_
The House of Assembly candidate for Ado Constituency 1, ASIPA Ayodeji Adarabierin, has extended warm felicitations to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his landslide victory at the polls, describing the outcome as a resounding vote of confidence in the governor’s leadership and performance.
Addressing newsmen in Ado Ekiti, ASIPA Adarabierin said the renewed mandate handed to Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State was a direct reward for his administration’s visible achievements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, and grassroots development across the 16 local government areas.
He noted that the governor’s victory carries historic significance, as it marks the first time since 1999 that an incumbent governor in Ekiti State would secure a second term consecutively.
“For three decades, Ekiti has never returned a sitting governor back-to-back. Governor Oyebanji has shattered that 30-year jinx through humility, accessibility, and a record of service that speaks for itself,” Adarabierin stated.
The Assembly candidate commended Ekiti electorates for their maturity and peaceful conduct during the election, stressing that the people voted across party lines to protect the progress recorded in the last four years.
He said the people of Ado-Ekiti, in particular, turned out en masse to affirm their support for continuity.
ASIPA Adarabierin listed the prompt payment of salaries, gratuities, and pensions, the rehabilitation of Ado township roads, investment in primary healthcare, and the empowerment of youths and women as key reasons why the governor earned a second term.
“Our people are not blind. They see the roads, they feel the impact, and they voted to sustain it,” he said.
The Convener of Asipa Political Family praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for improving on the electoral process, and lauded security agencies for ensuring a hitch-free exercise in Ado Constituency 1 and across the state.
He urged all political actors to put the election behind them and support the governor to deliver more dividends of democracy for the people.
The State Director Relax TINUBU is Fixing Nigeria also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state for running a rancor-free and issue-based campaign that resonated with the electorate.
ASIPA Adarabierin described Governor Oyebanji as a “bridge-builder and a listening leader” whose open-door policy has united various interests in the state. He said the victory has ushered Ekiti into a new era of political stability where performance now drives electoral choices.
He called on the people of Ado Constituency 1 and the entire state to continue praying for the governor and to offer constructive support to his administration.
“The election is over. What we have now is one Ekiti, one agenda — development. Let us all join hands with Mr. Governor to build the Ekiti of our dreams,” he urged.
