. ..says victory, reward of excellent performance
All Progressives Congress leaders from ward one in Ado Ekiti have described the victory of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji as a reward of his excellent performance during his first tenure.
A cross section of the leaders made the statement on Thursday during the APC victory party organized by APC Ado ward 1, at its Secretariat Ilaro, Mathew Street, where hundreds of party members gathered to celebrate the Governor’s re-election for a second term.
The State’s Chairman of the Party, Hon. Sola Elesin and APC’s Chairman in Ado Ward 1, Mr Kayode Oladimeji explained that Ekiti people voted for continuity because they could see the good works the governor had done.
They thanked the electorate for their trust and peaceful conduct during the poll and urged them to keep supporting the Governor.
“The roads are better, civil servants and pensioners are being paid as and when due, and there is peace across the state. That is why the people came out massively” they remarked.
Also, a prominent member of the party in the ward, Bashorun Babatope Alabi and the Ado Constituency 1, House of Assembly candidate, Mr Ayodeji Adarabierin said Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election was a victory worth celebrating.
The party stalwarts noted that the Governor’s focus on infrastructure, timely payment of salaries and pensions, as well as improved security gave voters confidence to return him for a second term.
‘’After you pass an examination, there is the need to celebrate efforts and good performance. Governor Oyebanji has passed the examination of his first tenure, and Ekiti people have confirmed it with their votes,” the duo said.
They added that the celebration also gave them the platform to mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu and APC National and State Assembly candidates of the Party ahead of next year’s general election.
Several party stakeholders, including Mr Ademola Adetola, Hon. Nicholas Oyinlade and Ado Local Government woman’s leader Hon. Margaret Adelusi explained that the outcome of the election reflected the people’s approval of the Governor’s record in office.
They reaffirmed the ward’s loyalty to the APC and pledged continued support for the Oyebanji administration.
Representatives from all the 13 wards in Ado Ekiti were present at the event, where Prayers were offered for the Governor and his team as they prepare for the next four years.
