The Regent of Ijesha Isu Ekiti, Omobolaji Adeniyi has appealed to the Ekiti State government to call a former lawmaker in the state house of Assembly, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan to Order.

Aribisogan was alleged to have installed himself as the Owa of Ipole ileje, a settlement under Ijesha Isu, as well formed Ipole-Ileje community Council of chiefs and Elders.

According to the Regent, the move has disrupted the peace and unity of the community.

Regent Adeniyi said the installation of the Owa of Ipole ileje was alien to the traditional institution as his late Dad, did not assent to it before his demise.

“I learnt he was installed as the Owa of of Ipole-Ileje, which is a settlement in Ijesha Isu that belongs to the Eleje, as far as I’m concern and the Obanla in council, there was never any Owa, there was never any installation, cos my late father never did it before his demise”. She added.

She denounced the notion that the Eleje has been suspended, stating that nothing of such happened in the community.

“Last week, there was a radio announcement that the Eleje, chief Olusegun Akiti has been suspended, I’m here to tell you that nothing of such happened.”

The Eleje, Chief Olusegun Akiti to in his reaction said Chief Aribisogan activities could disrupt the peace of the community if urgent and necessary action was not taken by the government apparatus.

He alleged that chief Aribisogan had desecrated the ancestral shrine, perform the annual Olisuise yam festival among other atrocities.

He however called on the state government to come the community’s aid.

In a telephone interview, Chief Aribisogan discarded all the allegations, saying the matter is already in court.
