As the Muslim community celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, the chairman, Ekiti State Local government service commission, Mr Samuel Abejide has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Ekiti State and beyond.

The celebration marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of spiritual reflection and renewal.

In his message, Mr Abejide prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity for Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.

He emphasized the importance of tolerance, understanding, and unity among people of different faiths and backgrounds.

“As you celebrate with family, friends and loved ones, may this spiritual exercise brings you abundant blessings, good health and prosperity. May our nation continue to experience peace, stability and development”,he stated.

The chairman called on Muslims to continue to support the government of governor Oyebanji particularly as the state approach the June 20 governorship election.

He also called for prayer for the state and the country, that they may be blessed with leaders who will promote peace, justice, and development.

“I admonish Muslims not to forget the lessons learned during the Ramadan lectures, particularly on abstinence from sins, repentance, forgiveness, and sharing with others,” he said.

Mr Abejide urged Muslims to continue to embody the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that are central to the Islamic faith, adding that the values are essential for building a better society and promoting national unity.

“May the values of Eid-el-Fitr inspire us all to be better citizens and contribute to the development of our state and country”,he remarked.
