As Muslims in Ekiti the joined the global community in celebrating Eid-el-Maulud, the Chairman, Ekiti State Local government Service Commission, Mr Samuel Abejide has congratulated Muslim faithful, particularly local government staff on witnessing another anniversary.
The chairman in a statement urged them to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad which are based on humility, tolerance, and love.
Abejide also called for peace, tolerance, and unity to guide Ekiti and the nation through its current challenges, emphasizing that Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation, must embrace peace and unity to consolidate national progress.
“Let us use the occasion to pray for leaders at all levels of government, and also pray for the peace and progress of Ekiti State”, let us also emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad, as He remained a role model whose life embodied compassion, service, and peace. He added.
“As we celebrate the birthday of our noble Prophet, let us reflect on his virtues and imbibe the lessons of compassion, peace, and mutual support. This is a time for sober reflection and renewed dedication to building unity and stability in our nation,” Abejide concluded.
