An All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain in Ekiti State, Hon Adenike Jennifer Emiola popularly known as AJ has congratulated women in the state and Nigeria at large on the celebration of 2026 International Women’s Day.
The Erelu Okin of Isaya Ekiti in Ekiti East Local government said the day remind women on the need to see themselves as mother of nation and the struggle to survive in a competitive world.
She called for more concerted effort in helping the needy in the society in line with the celebration theme tagged “Give to Gain”.
Hon Jennifer Emiola who is an Engineer urged mothers to imbibe the spirit of hardwork on their children with a goal of becoming a greater person in the future.
The APC stalwart called on government to implement various laws that will protect Girl Child and woman’s right especially on Gender Based Violence.
Hon Jennifer Emiola saluted the various programmes and empowerment initiatives of governor Biodun Oyebanji and his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji to Ekiti women.
She also saluted the caring spirit of the wife of the president , Senator Oluremi Tinubu to Nigerian Women through her Renewed Hope initiative.
Hon. Jennifer Emiola prayed that God will grant women the courage and strength to triumph in all areas as they celebrate this year International Women’s Day.
