The Chairman of the Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Mr. Samuel Abejide, has described the state Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji as a transformational leader on the occasion of his birthday.
Abejide in a congratulatory message highlighted the Governor’s extraordinary leadership, deep commitment to service, and far-reaching impact across Ekiti State.
The chairman said the governor is a man of courage, faith, vision, and compassion whose administration has touched every facet of life in the state.
“From strengthening grassroots governance to uplifting local government staff, the Governor’s accomplishments have been both transformational and enduring. “Your Excellency, you started well, and by the grace of God, you will surely finish well.” he said
Mr Abejide noted that the Governor’s intentional reliance on divine guidance — through prayer and spiritual alignment — has laid a firm foundation for leadership that honors God and serves the people.
The Chairman commended the Governor’s bold revival of key human capital development programs that had been dormant for years.
“Under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership, long‑abandoned initiatives were restored, offering local government staff the opportunity to advance academically and professionally. These include sponsorships for Diploma, Master’s, and PhD programs in Local Government Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile‑Ife — a move I can tag “a strategic investment in the future of Ekiti State.”
Abejide also highlighted the Governor’s unwavering dedication to improving staff welfare, noting that *salaries are paid promptly*, *promotions are regularly implemented*, and *bonuses have been restored*, creating an atmosphere of stability, dignity, and renewed hope among civil servants across the state.
He reaffirmed the affection and deep respect of the entire local government family — staff, leadership, and stakeholders — for Governor Oyebanji’s service.
“We appreciate you deeply, Your Excellency. May God continue to bless you, protect you, and use you to bring even greater good to our state.”.
