Ise Orun Local Government area of Ekiti State is set to rehabilitate 33kva substation network in the community, desilt drains and culverts as well as procure office and Medical equipment for the use of the people.
To this end, a tender board has been held in the council where bidders vied for the contracts which included, dredging of waterways, and construction of 65 meters of reinforced concrete line drainage among others.
BSES reporter Agbowo Emmanuel said the Council Chairman Hon. Ayodele Bamikole, who congratulated the bidders assured them that the best contractor would be awarded the projects without partiality.
He lauded Governor Oyebanji for his support to the council, particularly for the release of funds for the proposed project.
The Local Government Director of Procurement, Mr. Ajayi Banji, said the tender had been advertised in various newspapers, in compliance with the public procurement Act, No4, of Ekiti State.
The move according to him was to ensure transparency, accountability, competitiveness, equal opportunity, and quality.
The Representative of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Mr. Oyewo Simeon, encouraged the bidders to obtain necessary tax clearance, adding that it contributes to state development.
He advised the would be contractor to execute the project to specifications.
The Iyaloja of Ise Chief (Mrs) Okunmolale Olabisi Eunice congratulated the board for their fairness and dedication to ensuring quality projects are carried out in the local government.
