The Chairman of Kajola Local Councilor Development Area Hon. Ajayi Ojo Adebayo has been honoured as a Cultural Ambassador by the Olu of Araromi Gbede Kingdom Oba Michael Eniayekan.
The Colourful Ceremony held at Araromi Gbede in Kogi State was well attended and attracted high turnout of dignitaries from within and outside state.
The investiture of Hon. Adebayo as cultural ambassador was in recognition of his steadfast commitment to preserving the nation’s cultural identity, promoting unity, and advancing cultural diplomacy both at home and around the world.
Speaking during the investiture, the Olu of Araromi Gbede Kingdom Oba Eniayekan said that the honour was bestowed on the Kajola council Boss because of his zeal and passion in promoting cultural values and heritage of Yoruba’s.
According to the Traditional ruler Hon. Adebayo had over the years demonstrated to be a complete “Omoluabi” who always showed great interest in Yoruba culture and tradition.
He also said that the Kajola council Boss has also proven to be an authentic man of culture both in words, deeds and actions which had earned him the prestigious award.
Oba Eniayekan however called on the new cultural ambassador to be relentless in championing and promoting Yoruba culture and tradition in order not to go into extinction.
Responding Hon. Ajayi Ojo Adebayo thanked the traditional ruler for the recognition saying that cultural identity is the soul of every nation.
“I am deeply honoured to be named Cultural Ambassador by the Olu of Araromi Gbede Kingdom H R H Oba Michael O.Eniayekan, in recognition of my contributions to preserving Yoruba heritage.”
