…Says gesture to celebrates Senate Leader Bamidele’s 62nd Birthday
A heartwarming gesture of kindness was witnessed on Monday the 21st of July, 2025 as a Non Indigenous Group, Ekiti Kete Coalition, USA donated essential items to the Government Special School for the deaf, Ikoro Ekiti to Commemorate the 62nd birthday of the Senate Leader, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele which will come up on Tuesday the 29th of July, 2025.
According to the President of the group, Hon. Joe Olugbamila, the donations, which included educational materials and N100,000 cash to support their academic endeavors, was made in recognition of the Senate Leader’s dedication to public service and his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.
He expressed the admiration of members of the Association for Senator Bamidele’s selfless service and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Nigerians and noted that the Senate Leader deserved to be celebrated owing to his various contributions
“We are honored to kick start the birthday celebration of our distinguished Senator, in this way, and we hope that our small gesture will bring joy and support to the students of School for the Deaf, here at Ikoro”.

Sir you have been a source of inspiration to many of us in the diaspora, and we thank God for your life. May you Continue to live in good health, in God’s grace and prosperity. “Our little donation is a testament to the Senate Leader’s good character and commitment to giving back to the community and a way of appreciating a leader who is given to the welfare and well-being of humanity,” the President added.
Hon. Olugbamila further explained that MOB is a great leader and good ambassador of the State.
“He has distinguished himself in public office as a brilliant lawyer and a consummate politician who has proved his worth in the House of Representatives and on the floor of the Senate by contributing greatly to legislative business from 2019 till date” hon. Olugbamila stated.
Also the Secretary of the Association, Hajia Opeyemi Oni described the lawmaker as a great and patriotic Nigerian who has distinguished himself as a man of excellence in public service.
“I know Senator Bamidele to be a philanthropist per excellence with passion for humanity and a man who embodies positive change, a human right activist and a leader without border, he deserves everything good and we are happy and privileged to be part of the celebration. We will continue to pray for him and wish him the best of luck as he ages”‘ Hajia Oni remarked.
She said that the Senate Leader selfless service and commitment to public service have inspired countless individuals, adding that his legacy will continue to inspire a new generation of leaders.
Also the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion to Governor Oyebanji, Princess Adetoun Agboola who was represented at the event by Alhaji Sulaiman Fattah said that Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has been a vocal advocate for the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities.
She noted that his commitment to supporting the vulnerable groups has earned him widespread recognition and admiration.
“Recently, he donated two mini-buses, two motorcycles, and 25 wheelchairs to the Therapy Centre for Children with Disabilities in Ado Ekiti, we cannot but commend him for his efforts and contributions towards making life more bearable for people with disabilities in the state and we pray God Almighty to grant him good health, long life and more success as he continues to serve the Country” Princess Agboola said.
She equally appreciated Ekiti Kete Coalition, USA for the generous donation to the School for the Deaf, saying is a reflection of the Senate Leader’s values of kindness, compassion, and service to others.
The school’s principal, Mrs Temitope Adu who received the donations on behalf of the students, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the group and described the visit as an empowering act towards improved learning
The students and staff of the school who were visibly moved by the group’s kindness and generosity, expressed their gratitude to members of the group.
The students display thrilling dance moves for the audience to show that there is ability in disability.
The group further promised to increase their support for the special Schools in the State in other to promote their rights, ensure more Inclusion and improve their quality of life
