…. says it is crucial towards improving internal democracy

An APC stalwart Hon. Ayodeji Adarabierin who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Tax and Revenue Matters, has called on the All Progressives Congress members in the State to participate in the ongoing electronic membership registration (e-registration) exercise.

Hon. Adarabierin made the call after revalidating his membership at Idofin Ward 1, in Ado Local Government.

He emphasized that the exercise was crucial for strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and improving internal democracy.

‘’Having an electronic membership card will definitely give you credibility as a party member. It’s a great way to show your affiliation, commitment and loyalty to the party. It’s also a convenient way to stay connected with the party and access exclusive benefits,’’ he said.

The Governor’s aide said the e-registration exercise, first of its kind by any Nigerian political party, would provide accurate data on party members, eliminate duplication, and ensure proper documentation to enable the party consolidate its political base ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Adarabierin who is fondly called ASIPA noted that it is expedient for members of the party and other people who want to join the party to avoid the last-minute rush and register in time as the exercise will end by January 30, adding that more participation will give members a stronger voice.

‘’Exactly! The electronic membership registration will no doubt help us have accurate data, and this will in turns help the leadership of the party plan effectively for their members and strengthen its grassroots structure. In short, it’s a win-win for everyone involved,’’ Adarabierin remarked.

The SSA on tax who explained further that mobilizing more members to join the party will boost support for the re-election bid of Gov Oyebanji and President Tinubu commended the APC’s National leadership for launching the e-registration initiative, saying it’s a game-changer for the party in the future elections.

He urged those who are yet to register to visit their wards and designated centers to register and be part of the collective effort to strengthen the party and democracy.
