The Chairman of Aiyekire Local Government Hon. Adeoye Davies Adeyemo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to staff welfare and entitlements.

The council chairman gave the assurance during a pen-down ceremony organized for two Senior Directors held at the Council Secretary in Ode Ekiti.

They are Director of Agricultural and Natural Resources Mr Samuel Egunlusi and Health Secretary to the Local Government Mrs Grace Adeola – Johnson who both retired after thirty five years of meritorious service.

While acknowledging the senior officers for dedicating 35 years of their active lives to public service, Hon. Adeyemo advised the retirees to enjoy their retirement with lots of time dedicated to enjoying their hobbies, friends and family.

The Aiyekire council Boss extended his deepest appreciation to the two retirees for their invaluable contributions towards the social economic development of the council.

According to him their work has been the backbone of the local government, and their departure leaves a void that would not easily be filled.

Hon. Adeyemo said that their legacies would endure and inspire current as well as future generations to continue the noble work they have so passionately pursued.

On his part, Head of Local Government Administration Mr Cosmus Adebayo thanked the retirees for their meritorious service to the public service adding that it takes only the grace of God to start and end a journey on a fruitful note.

Mr Adebayo while noting that there was no amount of accolades that could be enough to show appreciation for the contribution of the retirees to the state public service, stated that the send-forth ceremony was just one of the little ways the council could express gratitude for the exemplary contributions.

The highlight of the Programme was the presentation of gifts to the retired Directors who were in attendance alongside their spouses.

The retired Directors in their responses thanked the local government staff for their support while in active service.

They appealed to the workers to continue to put in their best in the overall development of the local government.
