In a congratulatory message, Farotimi described the governor’s return to office for a second term as a divine arrangement, noting that he had broken the jinx of uninterrupted governance in the state.
She acknowledged the achievements recorded by the Oyebanji administration during its first term, particularly the prompt payment of workers’ salaries, infrastructural development, interventions in the education and healthcare sectors, increased subventions to tertiary institutions, and support for the informal sector.
Farotimi urged the governor not to relent in his efforts to improve the welfare of the people and sustain development across the state during his second term.
The TUC chairman also congratulated the wife of the governor, Professor Olayemi Oyebanji, on her elevation to the rank of professor by the University of Ibadan.
She described the First Lady as a mother who had continued to make significant contributions to academia and the development of Ekiti State and beyond through life-changing initiatives.
Farotimi rejoiced with the governor and his wife on what she described as a double celebration, comprising the governor’s second-term inauguration and the First Lady’s professorial elevation.
