In furtherance of our civic responsibility and democratic engagement, the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Solidarity Group for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) hereby announces the commencement of a structured mobilisation programme for the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Voter Registration Exercise across Ekiti State.

This initiative, as directed by the Director-General, Engr. Dipo Bamisaye, highlights the critical role of alumni associations as civic actors in advancing participatory democracy and strengthening electoral legitimacy. By systematically engaging our members, we aim to foster inclusiveness, consolidate democratic ideals, and contribute to the sustainable development of governance in Ekiti State.

Accordingly, all EKSU alumni residing within the Local Government Areas of Ekiti State who:

    1. Already possess a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), and

    2. Are willing to actively support the Solidarity Group for BAO in their respective Local Governments, are invited to signify interest by contacting their State Deputy Director-General through their designated Local Government Coordinators.

For proper documentation and strategic deployment, interested volunteers are required to provide the following information:

    1. Full Name

    2. Local Government of Origin

    3. Phone Number

    4. Ward where voter registration is domiciled

All Local Government Coordinators are to contact the Deputy Director-General of their Senatorial District for comprehensive briefing and alignment of mobilization strategies.

Together, as a scholarly community with shared values and institutional identity, we affirm our commitment to strengthening democratic participation and ensuring that the collective voice of the EKSU alumni fraternity continues to resonate in the political and developmental trajectory of Ekiti State.

    Signed:

    Tunji Saliu
