As part of activities to mark his Diamond Jubilee, the lawmaker representing Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency 2 at Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Hakeem Jamiu has organized a free health programme for constituents at Igbemo Ekiti.
The event, held at his situation office recorded a large turnout.
Rt. Hon Jamiu who was a Deputy Speaker during the 6th Assembly said the programme which was not first of its kind was to give back to his people, particularly on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
He noted the regular outreach was to also improve residents’ health and support Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s free health initiative.
A medical team led by Dr. Oluwatobi Owolabi examined residents for blood pressure, diabetes, malaria, and other ailments, while drugs were distributed free of charge.
Some residents including Chief John Olowokere, Mrs. Funmilayo Ibitoye, and Mrs. Omolara Hassan, commended Hon. Jamiu for the health mission and his consistent support to the constituency.
