The chairman of Ekameta Local Council Development area, Dr leye Adeniji has described the victory of Governor Biodun oyebanji in Saturday’s election as an expression of the will of the people.

In a statement, Dr Adeniji said that Ekiti people deserved praise for rewarding the Governor with a second tenure in office
He noted that the Governor’s victory was a clear endorsement of his administration’s performance, people oriented policies and commitment to the development of the state
The chairman also said that the victory was a measure of the popularity and acceptability of the Governor and APC in the state
Adeniji submitted that the election had shown that performance still counts in an electoral contest
He assured stakeholders that Ekameta LCDA would continue to align with the Governor’s shared prosperity agenda to ensure accelerated growth and improved welfare for citizens
The chairman commended the unity and political maturity displayed by the people noting that their decision to re-elect Governor oyebanji had broken the jinx of non consecutive terms since the return of democracy in 1999 in the state
He promised that the next four years would bring greater development, prosperity and opportunities for all Ekiti people.
The chairman therefore felicitated the governor, deputy and wife of the governor for a victory well deserved.
