The baby has been reunited with her family

This medium had earlier reported the story of the missing baby while an eyewitness account, said the baby’s disappearance was noticed when the Nurses on duty wanted to cater for her in the morning.

According to the state commissioner of Police, Mr Sunday Eribo, the suspect, a 34-year-old woman named Deborah Ayeni, had pretended to be a pregnant woman in the ward before stealing the baby.

He said the culprit was caught after forgetting her bag in the hospital, which contained a receipt for medication.

A CCTV footage and information from a reliable source led to her identification.

Ayeni in an interview, confessed to stealing the baby because she had lost her own pregnancy and didn’t want her husband, who was abroad, to know.

Mr. Eribo assured that the command would continue to work towards keeping the state safe from criminal elements.
