In a shining testament to her unwavering commitment to grassroots educational development, Dr. Tolulope Abike Olufemi (Omo Eye Aowe) has once again made a remarkable impact through the 2025 edition of her widely celebrated “Catch Them Young” Initiative.

The programme, held from July 21st to 23rd in Epe-Ekiti, Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, continues to set a benchmark for community-led educational empowerment.

This year’s edition featured a new wave of impactful interventions aimed at nurturing young talents and rewarding academic excellence.

Pupils from the three public primary schools in Epe-Ekiti were honoured for their exceptional academic performance during the 2024/2025 academic session.

In a bid to encourage and support the pupils, Dr. Olufemi also provided essential learning materials, including notebooks, school uniforms, and school bags for all pupils.

Teachers who had demonstrated outstanding dedication were also recognized and rewarded, reinforcing the initiative’s holistic focus on both learners and educators.

Dr. Abike Olufemi, a distinguished scholar and PhD holder, believes firmly in the transformative power of education. Her “Catch Them Young” Initiative was established to ease the burden of educational expenses on families and to ignite a lifelong love for learning among children at an early age.

Many described her contributions as a lasting legacy that has become a reference point for community-driven educational advancement.

With each edition of Catch Them Young, Dr. Olufemi continues to inspire a culture of excellence, invest in the future of young minds, and uplift her community through purposeful action, her passion for education and development remains a beacon of hope for Epe-Ekiti and beyond.
