The Chairman of the Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Samuel Abejide, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State on the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the State.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the entire Staff and Management of the Commission in Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Abejide described the 30th anniversary as a significant milestone worthy of celebration by all sons and daughters of Ekiti, both at home and in the diaspora.
According to him, since its creation on 1st October, 1996, Ekiti State has grown from humble beginnings to become a reference point for intellectual excellence, peace, cultural pride and good governance in Nigeria.
“Thirty years is not just about the passage of time, it is about the resilience of our people, the strength of our unity and the grace of God upon our land. Ekiti has indeed come of age,” he said.
The LGSC Chairman lauded the Governor for his purposeful and people-oriented leadership, noting that the Governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare, rural development and the strengthening of the Local Government System has brought stability and renewed hope to the third tier of government.
Mr. Abejide noted that under the present administration, the Local Government Service has witnessed unprecedented reforms, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and capacity building for staff, which has improved service delivery at the grassroots.
He prayed for more wisdom, strength and good health for the Governor as he continues to lead the State to greater heights, and wished all Ekiti people a happy and memorable 30th Anniversary celebration.
